Some more barn cleaning

Mom picking up some of the pieces that fell off the old pallets I took out of the barn and stacked up on Heather's truck.

Just the dirt floor still remains in the barn.We still have to find someone to scrape it out for us.

I wish I could have gotten the doors to open a little wider.

Looking down into the well, we were surprised to see a pipe about 4 feet down. It looks like an old inlet from somebody's house, but as far as I know, the well isn't being used. We did pull some out today to water the garden.

Mom on the lake

We had a beautiful day out on Cave Run Lake today. The sun was out and it was hot.

Mom had a nice time. The water was warm, but I was the only one who jumped in. She did get her feet wet, though.

There were a lot of boats and people out today, but that was expected.

A beautiful day at the lake

The view coming into the northern end of Cave Run Lake. This is near Scott Creek in case anybody wants to know. The dam is the very end of the lake. It is the Licking River when it flows past here.

It is an impressive structure. Water depth in this end here is around 50-60 feet.

This cove is across from the the dam. When the fish stopped biting, I jumped in for a swim. The water was so nice, I didn't want to get back out.

A Busy Day

The mowing job just getting started. I mow out a spot big enough to park the truck in first.
This time, I even got some of the center drainage ditch mowed. I did get the tractor stuck doing it, but only once.

The plants don't look really good, but they are still alive. Our onions didn't come up.

The job is finished and I'm ready to head for home.

After all that, Heather and I went to Lexington and got some cages for the new rabbits and put them in the barn. Heather will get then set up and rabbits moved into them shortly. These are self cleaning cages to make life easier.
