Brush pile gone

In spite of all the rain we got yesterday, I got the pile to light.
I did have to nurse it most of the day. There was still water running under the pile, but I got it to keep going. After it was lit, we added 3 cherry trees and the big section of the maple we lost in yesterday's storm.
Heather loading the tools up on the wheeler. Today's storm is moving in and we have to get everything put away.

Storm damage

This is our little creek in the back yard where the pasture drains into it. Normally you can step across it. I wouldn't reccomend trying that today.
Looking downstream. Thare is even some whitewater.
Upstream was in overload, too. The creek usually runs to the left of the tree and I mow the area to the right.
We lost half of the old maple in the storm. When I get the big saw back, I'll take down what's left of it. That way it won't knock the power line down when the next storms come through.

The carport is here

This was taken when we went fishing earlier this week. The woods have a different look to them. We have almost 20 feet of water under us.
They arrived this morning about 9:30 and dropped the frame out first and set it up.
One guy set the frame and squared it while the other one put the legs and rafters together. Then the dropped them into place on the frame.
Then the roof and trim was put on. While one was doing the roof, the other would hand up the pieces of metal and got the trailer tied down and ready to roll again. They were done in about an hour.
My stuff in it's new home. I'll add walls to it before winter gets here. That's when we get more wind blowing the rain and snow around.
