Finishing the back corner fence

We had to finish the back corner of the fence today. We needed to rotate the horses back to our side and Bahloo might have gone through the gaps in the fence. She is more inquisitive than the others.
We planted two more posts and I cut the notches and cut the bracers to fit. They weren't too bad nailing in, but a little tiring driving in 6 spikes one after the other.
The corner with the bracers in place. We are ready to put the wire on. We had to use the wheeler for an anchor to pull the wire tight. There were no trees in the fence line that were close enough. We didn't get it as tight as we would have liked to. The wheeler wasn't really heavy enough and kept tipping as we tightened the wire.
We were racing the incoming storms, too. We got finished and everything put away just as the rain started. All the horses are back over here for a few days so the other pasture can grow out some.

Window done

This is what the finished window looks like. It's all trimmed and caulked, and I even got done before any rain came!

Window replacement project

Getting set up for the window replacement. Heather swatted a bug on the old window this week and the window cracked.
The old window pulled out. This was the easiest part. I just had to be careful with the glass. I put some duct tape over the cracks the help keep it from shattering. It didn't shatter, so it worked.
The frame is reinforced and cut out for the slightly larger new window.
The new window is set into place and shimmed for a good fit.
Foaming crack sealer is sprayed into any cracks big enough to get the nozzle into. It got dark before I could finish everything up. I still have to caulk and trim the outside of the window. It's a double hung Pella window with argon gas filled double panes. All that means is the top and bottom both move and the window is efficient.

Happy Easter

Today's first order of business was to finish the servicing on the wheeler. I had already put a new plug in it and changed the air filter, but the oil and filter change still needed to be done. The cover for the oil filter is loosened in this picture. It's kind of an odd place for it, but it works.
The lake was practially deserted when I got there today. There were only 8 boat trailers in the parking lot. No waiting!
The trees have all come out and there is lots of different green color all around the lake.
The different colors are more visible here. This is the cove I was fishing in. Not having much luck here, but enjoying myself anyway.
