New bumper on the truck

Today was spent replacing the rear bumper on the truck. When it had got dented, I ordered a new on. It arrived a couple weeks ago. Today was my first chance to swap it out. Naturally, it fought me most of the way, but in the end, I won. I still have to get a new sensor for the right side. It's been ordered.

Grayson Lake fishing trip

Heather and I went fishing on Friday, with Grayson Lake being the chosen spot. We had beautiful weather and the great scenery.
We both caught a fish out of this little crack in the rock wall. All the fish we caught ( about a dozen or so) were on the small side, so we didn't keep any of them, but still had a fun day on the lake.
This is one of our favorite coves. It's very pretty and we usually catch some fish in here, too. It's actually warm enough to start swimming (73*), but we didn't bring anything for that.
This is the bay in Elliot County where we launch. It was a great day to be out.

Camping trip to Carter Caves

Natalie and I wanted to do another local trip with the camper before we headed anywhere out of state with it. We chose Carter Caves here in Kentucky. We got a pretty nice campsite and we took the bikes for looking around the campgrounds.
Our first tour was called Cascade Cave and was very interesting. I had not been on a cave tour in a long time, so we both enjoyed the formations.
Scenery around the cave entrances was also spectacular.
The second cave we went through was called the X cave because of it's shape. It resembled a crevasse in the cave system and was also quite interesting.
This was the old entrance to the cave. There was originally a hanging bridge from the other side of the canyon. It collapsed years ago and a new entrance was created.
Nature is very persistent, as demonstrated by this tree growing on a boulder. Makes for beautiful scenery, too.
