Field drag finished

We got the basic frame done yesterday just before it got dark. We used 4x4's for the perimeter and a 2x4 support in the middle for adding extra weight if we need it.
Putting the first layer of wire on. This piece goes from side to side.
First layer done and adding the second. I ran this one from front to back so the mesh in the wire would be different.
The finished field drag. This one is much smaller than the one Lisa and Jim have, so it should be a lot easier for the wheeler to pull.

Fence repairs

Heather and I added a strand of barbed wire across the top of the fence down the back yard side. Tessa had started pushing it down, and Bahloo was doing the same thing. The extra strand around the top should stop that. We already strung some around the front of the pasture, but hadn't gotten this far yet.
We straightened up the slam post and added a stretcher post to help keep it tight. We will do across the back of the pasture later. They aren't bothering the fence there and we would like to keep it that way.

New Year's Day cattle drive

It really wasn't much of a cattle drive, especially since they were just riding along. Here is everything hooked up and ready to get started.
Bevis was being a butthead, but then, so was Yogi. Neither of them would lead, they just planted their feet like a mule.
In the end, it didn't help them. The humans won the contest and the bulls are being closed in the trailer.
The boys are ready for the ride to Winchester.
Here they are after arriving in their new stall in Winchester. They got to run around the barn a little bit and eat some green grass. That made their day.
