Yesterday and today

This was from today. Heather caught me crawling through the culvert pipe under the road. We moved the horses' water trough over to the Roarke's field and had to fill it. I was pulling a hose behind me.
This is also from today. I was getting some topsoil and they had too much weight in the bucket and tipped the skid-steer over.
This is from our fence building yesterday. That is David Roarke with me. We're putting up the top strand of wire.
The garden is planted with the cool weather veggies. We have collards, spinach, and 3 kinds of lettuce out there.
The garden before planting. Sorry about the pictures being out of order. This is the 3rd time uploading them, but at least they are here.

Another new tree

This is our second new tree, same kind as the first. It's also about the same size and came from the same place. They only had two left today when we picked it up.
A matching pair for the front yard. Other than the trench filling and getting the grass to grow, all the landscaping work is finished for this year. We still have a couple of things in pots that will be planted when Lynne decides where she wants them.

Work on the Homefront

This is the bag of grass seed I picked up at Ag-Wood this morning. It was very reasonably priced at $10 for a 25lb bag. I hope it grows well.
You can see the seeds here if you look for the little long seeds in the mud. I don't have a broadcast spreader, so I was tossing them out by hand. As muddy and soft as everything is right now, I probably couldn't use a spreader anyway.

More mundane chores. The Subaru got an oil change today. It was overdue. Lynne forgot to say something when it was coming time to change it, then forgot about it for a while. We did Heather's truck today, too.

We have a new tree

This is our new tree- a scarlet maple being planted in the front yard. Heather is in the background walking the horses back to the pasture after getting their feet done.

This is a different angle that is easier to tell where it is in the front yard. The yard is still squishy from all the rain, so it should be well watered.
