Lake George winter carnival

One of the motorcycle/sidecar rigs. It's an in-line 4 cylinder running on racing fuel. Beside it is one of the 4-wheelers.

Turn 4 on the oval track. They are running about 70 mph.

There was a good crowd on hand. The weather was perfect- upper 20's and bright sunshine.

Every carnival has to have a hot dog vendor. I didn't find the one with the cotton candy.

Looking over towards the pits.

  1. That looks like fun! Hard to believe that the whole lake freezes solid enough to do that though!

  2. not only freezes hard enough for that, but it's typically around 2 feet thick of ice. The polar bear club and their dive is the best to watch. watching a bunch of crazy nutcases go swimming in the water and it's around 25-30 degrees- in bathing suits. I don't know how they do it . ..
