first step

The hand winch hooked up and ready to start pulling the front end back out.

Some of the broken parts removed. The radiator and what's left of the cooling fan, to be exact.

The much improved radiator support. Now it's ready for some new parts.

Today's last stop. The hardware store in Salem to exchange my broken ratchet for a new one

  1. So... as you are out there working on the car in the freezing cold... What kind of gloves do you where? Is there a good quality glove that is REALLY warm, but not too bulky?

  3. For the most part, I wasn't wearing ANY gloves. Hence, the waiting for "warmer" weather. It's a tight engine compartment and I had to some of the work by feel.

  5. Yeah, I like my winter work gloves but about the only work you can do in them is shoveling. If you need dexterity forget it.
